Geologist

Job Summary

You will perform fieldwork verification to collect geological data, prepare pile capacity calculations for approval, monitor casting processes, maintain accurate records, collaborate on project scheduling, and ensure site safety and workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Collect geological data through fieldwork verification, including performing SPT tests on soil using a pocket penetrometer and conducting Point Load Tests on rock following BCA guidelines
• Calculate pile capacity and submit calculations to Qualified Person (QP) for approval before casting
• Monitor the pile casting process and prepare concreting charts
• Complete bored pile records accurately and submit them to the Main Contractor for signing off
• Collaborate with project engineers to develop and maintain project schedules
• Proactively ensure the working site complies with safety standards to maintain a safe work environment
• Identify and report any backlog in site work execution to management for timely improvements

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Singapore construction industry
