Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise marine construction operations, such as Marine structure building.
  • Coordinate barges, pontoons, cranes, workboats, and sea-based material delivery logistics.
  • Compile and submit daily or weekly progress updates to the Project Manager and stakeholders, outlining achievements, issues, delays, and corrective actions.
  • Lead site mobilization and marine setup works, including temporary access routes, work platforms, staging zones, silt curtains, and turbidity control systems.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, QA/QC requirements,environmental standards, and applicable marine regulations.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, marine personnel, and specialist vendors to ensure work sequencing, productivity, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Prepare and review technical submissions such as method statements, risk assessments, lifting plans, and marine coordination documentation for approval.
  • Liaise with consultants, regulatory authorities, and internal departments regarding permits, inspections, approvals, and technical clarifications.
  • Promote and enforce Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and environmental compliance, including monitoring tidal conditions, weather factors, and marine operational constraints.
  • Work with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely mobilization of marine equipment, materials, and site consumables.
  • Provide engineering support and assist with planning or ad-hoc technical tasks to ensure project milestones are achieved.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in marine, coastal, reclamation, waterfront, nearshore, or major infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in marine construction planning, logistics coordination, and site execution.
  • Good knowledge of marine safety practices, environmental controls, and relevant statutory regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in marine plant and equipment operations, temporary works, and construction planning and execution.
  • Experience liaising with public sector authorities such as HDB, JTC, PSA, MPA, LTA, or equivalent agencies is advantageous.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and subcontractors.
