Research Engineer, Intelligent Product Verification, ARTC

Responsibilities:

• Develop rule-based image processing and computer vision algorithms for industrial inspection.
• Design and evaluate camera, lens, and lighting configurations for inspection applications.
• Develop and optimize vision solutions using OpenCV and Python/C++/C#.
• Apply AI/deep learning to vision inspection where appropriate.
• Troubleshoot and improve end-to-end inspection performance from imaging to algorithms.
• Work with industry partners to scope, prototype, and deploy vision solutions.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Computer/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Strong foundation in image processing and computer vision, with hands-on experience in rule-based inspection.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++/C# and OpenCV.
• Basic understanding of machine vision hardware, optics, cameras, lenses, and lighting.
• Knowledge of AI/deep learning for computer vision is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with 3D vision/point clouds is a plus.
