About this job

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Process Pipe Fitting training in accordance with ITE skills standards and approved training materials.
  • Provide practical hands-on training in pipe fitting, installation, fabrication and related activities.
  • Demonstrate correct work methods, tools, equipment and safe working practices.
  • Guide trainees through practical exercises and monitor their performance.
  • Assess trainees' competency and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure all participants comply with relevant Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements during training.
  • Maintain proper training records, attendance and assessment documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement of training delivery and learning materials.
  • Work closely with the training centre management to ensure training quality and compliance.

🎓 Requirements

  • Relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Pipe Fitting, Process Piping or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant industry work experience in process pipe fitting / piping works.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Process piping Pipe fabrication and installation Pipe fitting techniques Pipe supports and fittings Reading piping drawings / isometric drawings Measurement, alignment and installation Basic testing and inspection requirements
  • Possess relevant WSH / safety certifications applicable to the training activities.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Able to explain technical concepts clearly and train workers with different levels of experience.
  • Previous experience as a trainer, supervisor, foreman or instructor will be an advantage.
  • Preferred
  • Experience conducting workplace / skills-based training.
  • Previous experience with ITE Workplace Training Centre (WTC) programmes.
  • Train-the-Trainer (TTT) qualification or relevant adult-learning/training certification.
  • Candidates who have completed Coaching for Workplace Learning or another relevant TTT module are preferred.
  • ITE's current Train-the-Trainer programme includes Coaching for Workplace Learning, Deliver and Facilitate Learning, Design and Develop OJT Programme, Develop and Conduct Assessment, and Design and Develop Training Curriculum.
  • Candidates who have not yet completed the TTT module but have strong industry experience may also be considered, subject to the training centre's requirements.
