PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MANAGER

Fine Art Framing, Precision Manufacturing & Glass Installation

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Production Engineering Manager to join our specialist frame-making and glass installation company.

Our work is highly detail-oriented and involves the production and installation of premium frames, precision glazing, high-end paintings, fine art, handicrafts, and gallery projects. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background combined with excellent production management skills and a genuine appreciation for quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily production activities from job planning through to completion.
• Coordinate frame manufacturing, assembly, finishing, glazing, packing, and installation.
• Ensure all work is produced to exact specifications and the highest quality standards.
• Develop and improve production processes to increase efficiency while maintaining precision and craftsmanship.
• Read and interpret drawings, measurements, specifications, and job requirements accurately.
• Oversee glass cutting, glazing, framing, and installation processes.
• Implement strict quality-control procedures, particularly for high-value artwork and gallery projects.
• Manage production schedules, workflow, materials, and manpower.
• Work closely with clients, designers, galleries, artists, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered correctly and on time.
• Identify production issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Supervise and train production and installation staff.
• Ensure safe working practices and proper handling of delicate and valuable artwork.
• Monitor material usage, wastage, tools, equipment, and production costs.
• Continuously improve workshop systems, machinery, tooling, and production methods.
