Laboratory Analyst, Chemistry (Afternoon)

Work Arrangement: Mon to Fri, 130pm to 1030pm (fixed)
Job Summary:
In this role you will involve in routine and non-routine laboratory testing, maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment in compliance to cGMP. You are required to ensure a continuous supply of laboratory operating items and proper laboratory housekeeping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct testing of incoming finished products according to respective test procedure and compendia methods.
Assist in investigations of lab tests (e.g. out-of-specifications, deviations).
Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment e.g. analytical balance.
Maintenance of chemicals and consumables inventory.
Ensure proper handling, storage and disposal of all chemicals used in the lab.
Proper documentation and data entry of all test results.
Ensure all quality documents are properly filed and maintained according to SOPs.
Report all non-conformances and equipment failures to Chemist.
Perform routine housekeeping and active participation in 5S.
Ensure compliance to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Follow laboratory safety rules, regulations and standard operating procedures required for the task assigned.
Support in audit preparation.
Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times.
Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science
Advanced Diploma / Diploma in Chemical Process Technology / Polymer Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry with minimum of two years relevant laboratory experience
NITEC/Higher NITEC in Chemistry or related science
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good communication skills; able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal manner.
Good computer skills.
Possess good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team.
Good understanding and awareness of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
