Job Description
Reporting to EHSS Manager/designee, this role is primarily responsible for supporting the improvement initiatives from various identified EHSS programs, particularly in the aspects of projects safety, emergency response and preparedness. The role works closely with project stakeholders while collaborating with team members by supporting in the execution of improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Resource in various project safety stages in a manufacturing site, including design safety, pre-startup, commissioning and handover safety reviews and activities. In addition, the role also supports the various stages in new product introduction activities.
- Manage site construction safety which consists of contractor safety, permit to work, work-at-height, risk management, site induction and daily supervision of project safety.
- Perform routine site project inspection, including regular and/or ah-hoc site walkdown. Identify opportunities for improvement and assist the risk mitigation measures.
- As part of emergency response and preparedness, assist site Fire Safety Manager in the oversight of program which includes drills management, Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) administration, improvement plans and reporting.
- Render support in audit related activities pertaining to scope of duties in project safety management, emergency response and readiness.

Basic Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Science, Safety or technical equivalent AND
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer AND
- Certified Fire Safety Manager AND
- 3-7 years of Environment, Safety and Health experience preferably in project and GMP manufacturing environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates who understand cGMP requirements and had worked in the pharmaceutical industries
- Strong understanding in local occupational EHSS regulations
- Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Equipped with high initiative, energy and good problem-solving skills
