About this job

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and oversee construction and renovation projects from commencement to completion.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Manage project schedules, manpower, materials and resources.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed according to schedule.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications and project requirements.
  • Supervise and coordinate site activities to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, procurement and overall budget.
  • Attend project and site meetings and follow up on outstanding matters.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and completion of works.
  • Identify project risks and resolve site and coordination issues.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare progress reports and update management/client on project status.
  • Oversee testing, inspection, rectification, handover and project close-out.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction, renovation, building, civil engineering or related industries.
  • Proven experience managing construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, project coordination and site management.
  • Able to read and understand architectural, structural and M&E drawings.
  • Good knowledge of project scheduling, cost control and contract administration.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD / project management software is an advantage.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
  • Relevant safety certifications or construction-related qualifications will be an advantage.
  • Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.
