We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Department of the Eastern General Hospital (EGH) Planning Office. You will support the development,implementation and continuous improvement of EGH's WSH governance framework,policies, programmes and operational readiness initiatives. Working closely with internal departments, project teams, contractors and external stakeholders, you will support WSH operational readiness planning, including manpower, processes, systems, infrastructure and safety requirements.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating workplacerisk assessments, maintaining the organisational risk register, conducting inspections and audits, supporting incident investigations, monitoring compliance with WSH regulations, and following up on corrective and preventive actions. You will also contribute to WSH training, communication and safety promotion initiatives, support WSH Committee activities and reporting, analyse safety performance indicators, and prepare reports for management. In addition, you will support emergency preparedness, occupational health, contractor safety programmes, and participate in audits, inspections, projects and readiness exercises to ensure EGH is well prepared for operationalisation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Workplace Safety andHealth, Engineering, Environmental Health, Science or a related discipline
- Relevant experience in Workplace Safety andHealth, preferably within the healthcare, facilities, or other complexoperational environment
- Registration as a Workplace Safety and HealthOfficer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower would be an advantage
- Registration as a Fire Safety Manager with the SingaporeCivil Defence Force would be an added advantage
- Familiarity with the Workplace Safety and HealthAct and relevant regulations, risk management requirements and WSH managementsystems
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, bizSAFE and other safetyor quality management systems would be advantageous
- Good analytical, report-writing, communicationand presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-managementskills, with the ability to work effectively across different departments andprofessional groups
- Proactive, organised and meticulous, with theability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications andcomfortable working with data and digital systems
- Experience in healthcare WSH or hospitaloperational readiness would be an advantage
