DESIGN ENGINEER, PIPING

Duties & Responsibilities

• To interpret engineering flow schemes and piping symbols.
• To generate isometric drawings from piping layout drawings and weld mapping.
• To perform material take-off from piping isometric and layout drawings.
• To perform piping stress analysis.
• To select appropriate piping materials.
• To check test package.
• To maintain a proper record and filing of all incoming / outgoing drawings.
• To prepare isometric drawings and weldmaps as and when required.
• To liaise with Clients on engineering matters related to project.
• To carry out engineering calculations and/or design as and when required.
• To provide technical and engineering support for the project.
• To carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the immediate supervisor or higher management.

Qualification & Experience Generally Required

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Civil / Chemical Engineering or its equivalent.
• 2 years relevant experiences in petrochemical plants.
• Good technical competence.
• Good organizing and coordination skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer knowledge of MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, PDMS, 3D SmartPlant, etc.
