Senior QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the automation roadmap aligned with product and engineering goals

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for desktop and web applications

• Implement best practices for automation testing, ensuring reusability, scalability, and maintainability of test scripts

• Review, optimize, and enhance existing automated test suites to improve reliability and coverage

• Continuously improve automation testing processes, introducing new tools and methodologies as necessary

• Execute and analyse automated tests, providing detailed reports on test results and defect tracking

• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline testing processes

• Manage and maintain test environments and related tools

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA team members as automation adoption expands

• Support the team in improving overall testing practices across both manual and automated efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree: in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation testing

• QA Expertise: Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processes, familiarity with performance testing and security testing tools

Automation & CI/CD:

1. Experience with desktop automation tools (e.g., TestComplete or equivalent)
2. Experience with web automation tools (e.g. Playwright or Selenium)
3. Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
4. Experience with Cloud, Docker containers & DevOps pipelines is a plus

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in Python (preferred) or other programming languages used for automation (e.g. Java, C#) used for test automation
2. Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git), and
3. defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
