About this job
- Coordinate the waterborne movement of clean petroleum products in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the complete cargo-execution process, including nominations, scheduling, documentation, payment milestones and demurrage exposure.
- Work closely with traders to optimise cargo schedules, improve operational efficiency and reduce avoidable costs.
- Identify and manage execution risks that may affect the commercial outcome of transactions.
- Coordinate tank-storage activities with terminal operators and relevant service providers.
- Liaise with traders, terminals, inspectors, surveyors, vessel operators and counterparties to facilitate smooth cargo movements.
- Prepare accurate weekly and monthly inventory forecasts to support global stock management.
- Ensure cargo nominations, tickets and operational information are entered accurately and promptly into SAP and other relevant systems.
- Submit nominations through Navarik, Mainstay and applicable third-party platforms.
- Maintain high standards of operational data quality and reporting accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to streamline scheduling, reporting and data-management processes.
- Ensure compliance with records-management, import and export declaration, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Resolve routine scheduling and cargo-execution issues independently.
- Escalate matters with significant commercial, contractual, safety or regulatory implications.
- Develop strong working relationships with internal teams, counterparties and external service providers.
- At least 3 years of experience in waterborne cargo operations.
Requirements

- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in waterborne cargo operations.
- Proven experience scheduling Gasoil and Jet Fuel cargoes within the Asia-Pacific region.
- Good understanding of clean-product operations, logistics and market fundamentals.
- Familiarity with product-quality specifications, quantity measurements and volumetric performance.
- Working knowledge of cargo contracts, inspection procedures, loss control and demurrage.
- Experience using SAP, Navarik, Mainstay or similar commodity and cargo-management platforms would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical capabilities and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently and make sound operational decisions under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive cargo movements.
- Collaborative approach when working across commercial, operational and global teams.
- Willingness to provide support outside standard business hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
