Firmware Engineer

Job Summary

You will develop firmware for electronic products throughout the full product lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors to research, design, and deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug firmware for both legacy and new electronic products to ensure reliable performance
• Research, design, and integrate algorithms, graphical user interfaces (GUI), and libraries into existing and new products to enhance functionality
• Analyze test results to perform statistical analysis and fine-tune firmware for optimal performance
• Maintain and improve existing firmware to increase efficiency and reliability
• Assist hardware teams by troubleshooting and supporting hardware debugging activities to resolve technical issues
• Develop test equipment, maintenance processes, and testing procedures to validate electronic components and products
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to support product development and production cycles
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business goals and innovation

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in electronics, mechatronics/robotics, embedded systems, software, or related fields
• No experience needed
• Ability to code in C programming language to develop and maintain embedded firmware
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications for embedded systems to contribute to innovative product features
• Knowledge of electronics and schematic diagrams to support hardware integration and troubleshooting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical challenges
• Availability to start work on short notice is advantageous
