About this job

RoleOverview

We are seeking a highly specialized Analyst Programmer to architect, develop, and maintain mission-critical proprietary trading and transit logistics systems. This role requires a hybrid profile combining deep technical engineering with complex domain knowledge in international transit operations and financial data modelling. You will handle full-stack development for low-latency transaction platforms, requiring rigorous adherence to security, data integrity, and cross-border regulatory compliance.

Core Responsibilities

  • System Architecture & Development: Design and deploy highly scalable, low-latency enterprise applications to support high-volume transit and trading operations.
  • Complex Integrations: Develop and maintain secure API integrations (e.g., REST, SOAP, EDI, and FIX protocols) between internal trading systems, global shipping operators, and financial clearinghouses.
  • Data Modelling & Quantitative Analysis: Engineer complex data pipelines and utilize time-series databases to support real-time algorithmic trading decisions and transit route optimization.
  • Legacy Modernization: Lead the technical migration of legacy logistics platforms to secure, cloud-native microservices architectures (AWS/Azure).
  • Performance Tuning: Conduct aggressive performance profiling, memory leak analysis, and query optimization to ensure 99.99% system uptime during peak global trading hours.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement rigorous data encryption protocols and ensure all systems comply with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and international financial trading standards.
  • Technical Leadership: Act as the Tier-3 escalation point for critical system outages, requiring occasional on-call availability during overlapping global market hours.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in science, engineering management, computer science, Software Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a deeply related technical discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on, post-graduate experience specifically developing enterprise software within the trading, maritime logistics, or financial services sectors.
  • Advanced Tech Stack: Demonstrable expert-level proficiency in backend languages (Java, C++, or Python) and frontend frameworks (React or Angular).
  • Database Mastery: Deep expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and experience with time-series or NoSQL databases tailored for high-frequency data.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven understanding of trade lifecycles, global supply chain data standards, and electronic trading protocols (e.g., FIX).
  • Methodology: Strong background in Test-Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes), and strict Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Aptitude: Ability to translate complex quantitative models and transit logistical requirements into deployable production code under strict deadlines.
