WSH Safety Coordinator

Roles & Responsibilities

· Assist WSHEO in enforcing all WSH requirements, legislative requirements as well as in-house policies

· Identify and rectify all unsafe acts or conditions in the workplace

· Conduct Toolbox Meeting/WeeklyCoordination Meeting/Monthly Safety Meeting with relevant stakeholders

· Ensure all necessary permits are applied and approved prior to start of work

· Conduct Safety Induction for required personnel

· Liaise with all stakeholders to initiate submission of necessary documents before entry to site

· Assist WSHO in preparing, reviewing and maintaining necessary documents eg. RA, SWP, Risk Register etc

· Engage and conduct regular activities to promote and educate site personnel on safety and health issues.

· Ensure all plants and machinery are equipped with valid Certifications and in good working condition

· Conduct regular site walks and inspections to ensure compliance with site policies

· Ad-hoc matters deemed necessary for project progression

Requirements & Experience

· Possess an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health or equivalent

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a WSHC role with Main-Contractor

· Good knowledge of Workplace Safety & Health Act

· Advantage to have other relevant certifications

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

· Able to work independently and have initiative

· 6-day work week

· Remuneration package shall commensurate with qualification and experience
