The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 24-month contract at the Learning Sciences and Assessment Department.
Project Title: Curiosity, 21st Century Competencies, and Self-Directed Learning
Project Introduction: The project aims to understand how curiosity and 21st century competencies develop in self-directed, student-initiated learning experiences in MOE secondary schools. The project uses a variety of methods such as surveys, digital device use, and generative AI chatbots.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field
Proficiency in quantitative research, such as survey data and analysis
Preferably one year of research experience (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
Experience working with MOE schools
Experience using AI tools to support research activities
Responsibilities:
Conduct literature review
Liaise with schools and research partners
Manage data collection, data cleaning, and data analysis
Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations
Support project administration, including meetings, documentation, and any other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator
