Job Description

This position involves the simulation, fabrication, and characterization of thin film barium titanate-on-dysprosium scandate optoelectronics devices.

It involves calculation and design of polarization and intensity modulator geometries, extraction of electro-optic coefficients from measured data, and the design and execution of experiments meant to exploit the strong r51 and r42 of barium titanate.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in a relevant field.
• Knowledge about off-diagonal permittivity tensor elements in electro-optic materials is absolutely essential, along with a clear knowledge about the intricacies of barium titanate physics, including Pockels effect, Kerr effect, poling, and applications in modulators and quantum applications as well.
• Open to Fixed Term Contract.
