Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

A leading employer seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs and contract administration, ensuring accurate financial control and effective subcontractor management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze detailed cost comparisons to support project budgeting and financial decisions
• Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations to secure competitive pricing and terms
• Perform accurate quantity measurements and take-offs to ensure precise cost estimation and project planning
• Manage variation orders, claims, and final account settlements to maintain contract compliance and financial accuracy
• Oversee subcontractor progress payments and related financial documentation to ensure timely and accurate disbursements

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree or Diploma in Building or a relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of main contractor Quantity Surveyor experience
• Proficiency in contract negotiation and administration

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior experience with HDB BTO projects
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a 5-day work week
