Senior Staff Nurse (Operating Theatre) (ID: 700247)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

• Prepare the operating theatre, surgical instruments, equipment and supplies before procedures.

• Assist as a scrub nurse or circulating nurse during surgical procedures.

• Perform surgical counts of instruments, needles and swabs in accordance with established protocols.

• Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during procedures.

• Monitor patients' condition and ensure their safety throughout the perioperative period.

• Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards within the operating theatre.

• Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are properly handled, maintained and available when required.

• Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and other multidisciplinary team members.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, training and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution.

• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) with a valid Practising Certificate.

• Previous operating theatre / perioperative nursing experience is preferred.

• Experience as a scrub or circulating nurse will be an advantage.

• Good clinical knowledge, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
