Application Manager (R&D)

Job Description:

Technical Expertise & Application Development

• Serve as the technical expert for bakery and confectionery applications.
• Develop and optimize formulations tailored to customer requirements and market trends.
• Evaluate ingredient functionality, processing conditions, and product performance.
• Translate technical insights into commercially viable solutions.
• Conduct product benchmarking and competitive assessments.

Innovation & Product Development

• Develop innovative concepts and prototypes for bakery and confectionery applications.
• Support new ingredients, flavor, texture, and technology evaluations.
• Lead product development activities from laboratory scale with a commercial mindset.
• Identify opportunities for reformulation, cost optimization, and performance improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends, consumer preferences, and emerging technologies.

Customer Technical Support

• Partner with customers to understand technical challenges and business needs.
• Provide technical consultation, troubleshooting, and formulation recommendations.
• Support customer trials, pilot runs, and commercial production launches as needed.
• Conduct customer presentations, workshops, and technical training sessions.

Project Management

• Lead multiple customer and innovation projects simultaneously.
• Define project objectives, timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and meet technical and commercial expectations.
• Communicate project status in a timely manner to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Support business development initiatives through technical expertise.
• Contribute to strategic growth opportunities within bakery and confectionery segments.
• Participate in regional and global innovation programs as needed.
