About this job

Role Summary

As Head of Product, you own two of the company's business categories end-to-end — their strategy, product portfolio, organization, operations, and P&L — delivered through the Product, Engineering, Market Management, Growth/Revenue Management, Design, and Data leaders you build and lead.

Both are high-growth, revenue-critical parts of the business. One is a marketplace-style travel category, where your mandate is to build a top-of-mind, genuinely international platform and strengthen its role as a cross-sell engine into the company's other travel products. The other is a regulated, risk-based category, where your mandate is to build one of the company's most reliable and scalable revenue engines, adapting to the regulatory and product realities of each market.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Build and lead one combined organization of Product, Engineering, Market Management, Growth/Revenue Management, Design, and Data leads and their teams, allocating work across both categories and developing the next layer of leaders.
  • Own day-to-day business operations and performance in both categories alongside strategy and product — the role is accountable for how the business runs, not only what gets built.
  • Set and own the multi-year product strategy and P&L for each category, sequencing which markets, products, and use cases to invest in next.
  • In the marketplace-style category: drive growth through demand generation, international expansion, and a unified core booking experience; improve inventory completeness, availability, and booking success rate against competitive benchmarks; own pricing strategy that balances growth and profitability; manage relationships with external supply and operator partners; and grow cross-sell conversion into the company's other travel products.
  • In the regulated, risk-based category: own pricing model economics, coverage and conversion across the booking funnel, and risk selection with external partners; manage relationships with external providers and underwriters; and engage credibly with financial regulators, including where their interests don't fully align with the company's.
  • Steer the shift to AI-driven, agentic ways of working across both categories — governed adoption of AI for pricing, personalization, and performance intelligence — with human accountability for outcomes.
  • Lead major change initiatives end to end across both categories — market expansion, pricing model overhauls, new product or channel launches, and regulatory/model transitions — and bring the organization through them.
  • Represent both categories to executive leadership, reporting on performance against target and the plan to close any gaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or another STEM field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus given the executive cross-functional scope.
  • 15+ years in product management, general management, or a closely related field, including leading multi-team, multi-market organizations — ideally including other managers or directors.
  • A track record of building and scaling a product organization across markets, with genuine P&L ownership, not just feature delivery.
  • Experience in a marketplace, travel, or mobility business with direct exposure to supply-side management — inventory, provider coverage, or capacity planning.
  • Deep command of risk-based economics — pricing, profitability, underwriting risk — and how they translate into product decisions, along with experience negotiating with external providers/underwriters and engaging credibly with financial regulators across multiple markets.
  • Comfort setting and driving an AI/data strategy as a core capability rather than an add-on, with experience deploying AI in production for pricing, personalization, or performance analytics.
  • Strong quantitative grounding — able to read and challenge pricing models, funnel/conversion metrics, and P&L gap analyses directly, not secondhand.
  • A demonstrated ability to build and develop leaders, not just individual contributors — this role's leverage comes from the organization you build.
