iOS Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced iOS Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for Apple platforms.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Swift, iOS development frameworks, API integration, and modern application architecture. You will work closely with product, design, backend, and engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing iOS applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C.

• Develop modern user interfaces using SwiftUI and UIKit.

• Translate product and UX requirements into responsive and intuitive mobile experiences.

• Integrate iOS applications with backend services using REST APIs and JSON.

• Implement application architecture using patterns such as MVVM and MVC.

• Develop reusable, maintainable, and scalable application components.

• Write clean, efficient, testable, and well-documented code following iOS development best practices.

• Perform unit testing and UI testing using XCTest and related testing frameworks.

• Troubleshoot application defects, crashes, performance issues, and production incidents.

• Optimise application performance, memory usage, responsiveness, and battery consumption.

• Implement appropriate memory management and concurrency techniques.

• Collaborate with backend developers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards and engineering best practices.

• Use Git for source code management, branching, merging, and collaborative development.

• Support application releases, deployment, maintenance, and ongoing enhancements.

• Stay current with developments across Swift, iOS SDK, Apple frameworks, and mobile development practices.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong hands-on experience developing native iOS applications.

• Strong proficiency in Swift and working knowledge of Objective-C.

• Hands-on experience with SwiftUI and UIKit.

• Strong knowledge of iOS SDK, Xcode, and Apple development frameworks.

• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON-based data.

• Good understanding of mobile application architecture patterns such as MVVM and MVC.

• Experience using Git or similar version control systems.

• Hands-on experience with XCTest, unit testing, and UI testing.

• Strong understanding of iOS memory management, concurrency, application lifecycle, and performance optimisation.

• Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex mobile application issues.

• Good understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional Agile development teams.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Swift Concurrency, including async/await.

• Experience with modern iOS architecture and modular application development.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile application development.

• Experience with automated build, testing, and deployment processes.

• Understanding of mobile application security and secure coding practices.

• Experience supporting production-grade or enterprise-scale iOS applications.
