Job Summary

We seek an experienced IT Project Manager or PMO professional to lead technology projects globally, ensuring alignment with business goals and collaborating with Japanese-speaking stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects across applications, infrastructure, or digital transformation domains to achieve business objectives
• Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project execution
• Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies to maintain delivery quality
• Ensure projects comply with quality, regulatory, and business requirements throughout the lifecycle
• Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, reporting standards, and documentation for transparency and control
• Track project performance using KPIs and dashboards to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, audit requirements, and industry standards to uphold governance
• Support portfolio tracking and project prioritization to align resources with strategic goals
• Engage business, technology, and external stakeholders to align objectives and manage expectations effectively
• Facilitate meetings, steering committees, and status reviews to maintain stakeholder communication and alignment
• Provide clear and timely communication across all stakeholders to ensure project transparency
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize impact on delivery
• Manage change requests with proper approval and documentation to control project scope
• Drive issue resolution collaboratively with relevant teams to maintain project momentum
• Act as liaison between Japanese-speaking stakeholders and global teams to ensure clear communication
• Translate business requirements, discussions, and documentation as needed to support cross-cultural collaboration
• Ensure clarity and alignment across multicultural teams to foster effective teamwork

Required competencies and certifications

• Proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written) to communicate with Japanese-speaking stakeholders and review project materials
• Proficiency in English for internal communication and documentation

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working in financial services, banking, or regulated industries
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
• Experience using project planning tools and reporting dashboards
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field
