IT System Architect / Infrastructure Solutions Architect

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced System Architect to design and lead the technical architecture for smart utility systems, intelligent infrastructure, and digital solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing systems that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture

• Design end-to-end system architecture covering hardware, software, networks, and system integration.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable technical solutions.
• Develop architecture designs, technical specifications, and implementation standards.
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture principles.

Technology & System Design

• Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and infrastructure solutions.
• Design cloud, hybrid, or on-premise architectures using industry best practices.
• Ensure solutions meet cybersecurity, compliance, and data protection requirements.

Project Delivery & Technical Leadership

• Provide technical guidance to project teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Support system integration, testing, deployment, and commissioning activities.
• Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support system upgrades, performance optimisation, and lifecycle management.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 12 years of experience in System Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Solution Architecture.
• Proven experience designing distributed, cloud-based, or hybrid systems.
• Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks, system modelling, and design methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, integration patterns, DevOps, and modern software architecture.
• Experience with databases, data architecture, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and secure-by-design principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and guide cross-functional teams.
