Occupational Health Nurse

Responsibilities:

• Reports to HSE manager at project or work site
• Apply nursing principles directed toward conserving the health of workers and maintaining a safe and healthful environment in an occupational setting
• The primary focus is on promotion, protection and restoration of workers’ health within the context of a safe and healthy work environment
• Work to maintain optimum levels of health, reduce absenteeism, reduce medical disabilities, and contain medical costs
• Assist in proper treatment for injuries or illnesses and assists in determining and arranging proper disposition of employees as to hospital, physician, home or return to work
• Perform medical surveillance activities as per MOM requirements
• Assist in the determination of real and potential health problems and hazards in the workplace, as well as providing solutions and training for the mitigation of the hazards
• Tasks performed include calibration and maintenance of equipment, providing technical advice, participating in training, incident reporting and investigating and general administrative duties
• Interface with work groups and multidisciplinary teams to achieve above listed goals

Requirements:

• Degree/Master’s Degree in Nursing with at least 2 years of related experience
• Certified nursing qualification or Singapore Nursing Board Registered Nurse Practicing Certificate
• Experience in performing medical surveillance activities as per MOM requirement’s
• Experience in workplace health case management program such as soft tissue management
• Excellent interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and ability to maintain records and review test results

Work Schedule: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
