COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Salvation Army Peacehaven Group is seeking an experienced leader to oversee its Corporate Services functions as it prepares for its future expansion and growth.

This role is responsible for overseeing multiple functions that support Peacehaven Group - Accounts, Community Relations, Human Relations, IT, Procurement and Transport Services. This includes ensuring proper governance, efficient processes, reporting, organisational performance and people development.

About Peacehaven Group

Peacehaven Group offers intermediate- and long-term care services in Singapore, including a 430-bed nursing home, a few Senior Care Centres and an Active Ageing Centre. We also offer training in caregiving and on dementia through the Jade Circle Acaredemy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

About the Role

The Head (Corporate Services) will be responsible for leading managers and teams handling:

• Accounts and financial management
• Community relations and volunteer management
• Human Resources
• Information Technology
• Procurement
• Transport Services

The Head (Corporate Services) is also expected to strengthen organisational capability, improve organisational performance and ensure proper governance in these areas of responsibility.

As a senior leader within Peacehaven Group, the Head (Corporate Services) is also expected to develop current and future leaders, actively participate in strategic planning and business development, and support the Group's strategic objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Requirements

The primary place of work is Peacehaven Nursing Home, 9 Upper Changi Road North, Singapore. Although the position may be required to work at other parts of Singapore from time to time. The position will also require occasional evening and weekend work.

All candidates must be prepared to comply with all applicable Singapore Government vaccination, infection-control and regulatory requirements to work in a Nursing Home or healthcare facility.

Candidates are required to meet the following essential requirements to be eligible for consideration:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, management, finance, healthcare administration or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years' senior leadership experience, ideally at Head of Department level or higher.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple corporate service functions within a complex organisation.
• Proven capability in financial management, budgeting, governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated success in building high-performing teams and developing senior and emerging leaders.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships, including government agencies, professional partners and community organisations.
• Demonstrated judgement, resilience and maturity in making difficult decisions and leading through complexity.

OTHER INFORMATION

Preferred Characteristics of Candidates

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in:

• Senior leadership roles in healthcare, aged care, social services or another highly regulated environment.
• Working in a not-for-profit, charity or community-based organisation.
• Working with government or statutory agencies.
• Overseeing services involving vulnerable people, safeguarding, privacy and regulatory compliance.

Behavioural characteristics sought are:

• You are a leader who can operate confidently at the strategic level and yet are comfortable with details and getting hands-on to know the ground situation and lead by example.
• Your leadership style is characterised by excellence and compassion.
• You are able to lead decisively and calmly under pressure
