We are looking for an experienced and responsible Production Supervisor / Production Manager to oversee our production operations and ensure that production activities are carried out efficiently, safely and according to the required quality standards and project schedules.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising production workers, planning daily production activities, monitoring material usage, coordinating with relevant departments and ensuring that production targets and deadlines are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Management
- Plan, organise and supervise daily production activities.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure that production targets are achieved within the required timeline.
- Allocate manpower and production resources according to workload and project requirements.
- Coordinate production activities to ensure smooth workflow and minimise production delays.
- Monitor work progress and provide regular updates to management.
2. Production Operations
- Supervise the manufacturing and processing of timber/wooden doors and related products.
- Ensure production work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Monitor production processes from material preparation to completion.
- Identify production issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure proper handling, storage and usage of production materials and equipment.
3. Inventory & Material Control
- Monitor the usage of timber, hardware and other production materials.
- Ensure materials issued for production are properly recorded and accounted for.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and accounts departments on material stock movements.
- Conduct regular checks on production materials and minimise material wastage.
- Report any shortage, damage or abnormal material usage to management.
4. Quality Control
- Ensure finished products meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections during the production process.
- Identify defects and coordinate with production workers to rectify quality issues.
- Ensure defective or rejected products are properly recorded and followed up.
- Maintain consistent product quality and reduce rework and wastage.
5. Manpower Management
- Supervise and guide production workers on their daily work assignments.
- Allocate tasks according to workers' skills and production requirements.
- Monitor workers' attendance, productivity and work performance.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance where necessary.
- Maintain discipline and ensure workers comply with company policies and procedures.
6. Safety & Workplace Compliance
- Ensure all production activities comply with workplace safety requirements.
- Ensure workers use machinery, tools and equipment safely.
- Conduct regular checks to identify potential workplace hazards.
- Report and follow up on accidents, incidents or unsafe working conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised production environment.
7. Coordination with Other Departments
- Work closely with the General Manager, Project/QS team, Warehouse and Accounts Department to coordinate production requirements.
- Review project requirements and production quantities before commencing production.
- Coordinate material requirements based on production schedules.
- Communicate production progress, issues and delays to management.
- Assist management in resolving production and operational issues.
8. Machinery & Equipment
- Monitor the condition and proper operation of production machinery and equipment.
- Arrange for maintenance or repair when necessary.
- Ensure machinery and tools are properly maintained and safely operated.
- Report equipment breakdowns promptly to management.
9. Production Records & Reporting
- Maintain accurate production records, including production output, material usage, wastage and manpower.
- Prepare daily/weekly production reports when required.
- Monitor production efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist management in reviewing production costs and productivity.
10. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and reduce wastage.
- Recommend improvements to production methods, workflow and manpower utilisation.
- Implement practical measures to improve productivity, quality and cost efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in production, manufacturing or construction-related industries.
- Experience in timber, wooden doors, carpentry, woodworking or similar manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
- Candidates with supervisory or managerial experience are preferred.
- Good knowledge of production planning and manpower management.
- Able to supervise and lead a team of production workers.
- Able to read and understand production drawings/specifications.
- Good understanding of quality control and workplace safety.
- Able to identify production problems and provide practical solutions.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office will be an advantage.
Working Conditions
Full-time position.
Required to work in a production/warehouse environment.
May be required to work overtime depending on production and project requirements.
Must be able to manage multiple production activities and meet tight project deadlines.
