Accountant (Semiconductor/ Construction)

Our esteemed client in the Construction industry is seeking an Accountant to join their dynamic team:

• Employment Type: Permanent
• Position: Accountant
• Location: Woodlands (Transport Provided)
• Working Hours: 5 days, Office Hours
• Salary Package: Up to $6,000 + Bonus

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle the company’s financial and management accounting functions, including month-end closing and management reporting.
• Prepare annual budgets, revised budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Liaise with banks, external auditors and tax agents.
• Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable financial reporting standards and manage XBRL submissions.
• Handle GST reporting and tax computations.
• Perform financial analysis and investigate fluctuations in the P&L and balance sheet.
• Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.
• Review and improve accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of accounts staff.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• At least a Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably from semiconductor or construction industry.
• Prior experience in an audit firm would be advantageous.
