Job Summary
You will manage human resources and administrative operations for six Asean subsidiaries and act as the primary liaison with our Japan Headquarters. This role requires strong cross-border communication skills to align regional operations with global HQ standards.
Key Responsibilities
Regional HR Operations
- HQ Alignment: Act as the main bridge between the Japan HQ and the six regional subsidiaries to implement global HR initiatives.
- Subsidiary Support: Assist local country managers with regional recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Data Management: Standardize and maintain accurate regional employee records and HR metrics across all subsidiaries.
- Policy Adaptation: Help adapt corporate HR guidelines to fit local labor laws in each respective country.
Regional Administration & Vendor Management
- HQ Reporting: Prepare and submit regular administrative and budget reports to the Japan HQ.
- Cross-Border Coordination: Oversee regional travel coordination, international assignments, and expat management.
- Vendor Oversight: Manage contracts with regional service providers, office vendors, and insurers across locations.
- Expense Control: Review and consolidate administrative invoices and expenses from the subsidiaries for HQ approval.
Bilingual Communication & Translation
- Dual-Language Reporting: Translate complex business reports, HR policies, and official emails between English and Japanese.
- Meeting Facilitation: Facilitate regional alignment meetings, providing clear interpretation between local teams and Japanese stakeholders.
Requirements
- Language Skills: Business-level fluency in Japanese (JLPT N1 preferred, native or near-native) and English for professional writing and speaking.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in HR or administration, ideally within a regional or multi-subsidiary setup.
- Global Mindset: Strong cross-cultural communication skills to successfully work with teams across Asia and Japan.
- Coordination Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in different time zones.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using regional Human Resource Information System or ERP systems.
