Electrical Engineer @ Jurong Island

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support electrical engineering operations and site management. The role ensures electrical installation, testing, and maintenance at construction sites comply with approved standards, specifications, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee electrical engineering works at construction sites to ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations
• Review and verify electrical drawings, including secondary schematic diagrams, coordinating with vendors and consultants to ensure accuracy and feasibility
• Supervise and witness on-site testing and commissioning of electrical panels, motors, and related equipment to confirm operational readiness
• Ensure construction quality acceptance by identifying and resolving technical and construction-related issues promptly
• Liaise effectively with clients, employers, consultants, and relevant personnel, attending inspections and witnessing sessions as required
• Prepare, review, and update construction method statements and technical documentation to support project execution
• Coordinate with contractors and site teams to ensure timely and compliant execution of electrical works
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Company

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in construction or industrial projects
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution
• Proficient in CAD drawing software to review and produce electrical schematics and layouts
• Familiarity with electrical equipment testing procedures and site commissioning works to ensure compliance and functionality
• Competent in using Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to independently resolve technical issues on site
• Ability to meet site access and security requirements to work in Jurong Island
