Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

Our client is a technology service provider to the microelectronics industry which the head office is located in Singapore for regional operations.

Job Description:

- Project Management: To work within the three constraints of Scope, Timeline and budget to deliver project completion

- Site Coordination: Coordinate between various internal and external stakeholders (Contractors, Clients, Team members) to work closely towards successful project completion

- Troubleshooting: To work closely with clients and operation to analyze and find out and resolve root cause of trouble

- Documentation: To come up with various project documentation, including Technical List (IO Termination List, Cable Pulling List, Cost Estimation List) and Technical Manuals (Operation Manual, Site Acceptance Test (SAT) Manual)

- Commissioning: To work closely with Testing and Commissioning team and electrical team for testing newly installed equipment

- Program Modification: To modify equipment PLC and HMI programs

- SCADA Modification: To modify SCADA DCS for modification

- Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the company

Job Requirements:

- Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline

- Preferably with semiconductor background

- Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams

- Able to read and interpret technical drawings (P&ID, PFD, Electrical Single Line, I/O Wiring, System Architecture)

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD

- Basic understanding of PLC, HMI and SCADA systems (Siemens/Allen Bradley/DeltaV experience is an advantage)

- Basic understanding of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, Modbus, Profibus)

- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, control & instrumentation, and troubleshooting

- Familiar with Singapore electrical regulations and explosion-proof standards (SS 638 & IEC 60079-14) is an advantage

- Willing to work in the cleanroom environment (with jumpsuit provided)

Compensation:

- Work location: Tampines

- Working hours: 8:30am to 6:00pm (5 days work week, no fixed off days)

- Monthly Allowances (if applicable, for example Engineer Hardship Allowance up to $720/month, etc.)

- Performance bonus
