Sales Manager (Hotel)

Drive revenue through proactive sales of guestrooms, group room blocks and meeting, banquet, and event spaces by developing new business, maintaining key accounts, and collaborating with operations and revenue teams to maximise yield and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve and exceed monthly and annual revenue targets for group rooms, transient group pickups, and meeting/banquet space rental and catering revenues.
Prospect, develop and close new business across corporate, association, MICE, weddings, social events
Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, site inspections, proposals, contract negotiation, and post-booking liaison to ensure successful delivery.
Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts, third-party planners, corporate clients, travel agents and event agencies.
Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, and networking to build pipeline and market presence.
Coordinate and execute site inspections and familiarization (FAM) trips with clients and partners.
Work closely with Revenue Management to align pricing, group pick-up strategies, and blocked room policies to maximise RevPAR and banquet yield.
Prepare and submit timely, accurate proposals, contracts, function sheets, and correspondence; ensure all reservations and details are communicated to Reservations, Front Office, Catering, and Banqueting teams.
Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline and accurate forecasts; provide weekly/monthly reports on activity, leads, conversion rates, and revenue.
Participate in trade shows, sales missions, and local business networking; organise and host client events and property showcases as required.
Monitor competitor activity, market trends and local demand drivers; recommend targeted promotions and packages.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through proactive account management and by coordinating seamless event execution with operations teams
