Assistant Marine Superintendent (Transport Provided)

• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare vessels for SIRE/BIRE inspections.
• Ensure effective HSE implementation throughout the fleet.
• Track, manage and ensure vessel operating costs remain within the approved vessel budget.
• Assist in planning the budget and timeline, and execute dry-docking/special surveys for LSA/FFA, medical supplies and deck maintenance as required, in accordance with the Company’s IMS and within the approved budget.
• Ensure all soft copies of Class, Flag and other vessel documents are uploaded to the Company’s shared drive, and all hard copies are properly documented and accounted for.
• Ensure vessel trading certificates and information, including Q88, are kept up to date.
• Ensure all operations are carried out in full compliance with the Company’s Integrated Management System (IMS), applicable rules and regulations in the countries of operation, and Company policies.
• Ensure vessels have sufficient and appropriate deck critical spares/inventory to minimise operational interruptions.
• Publish a safety memo to the fleet once a month.
• Read and monitor all safety cards submitted.
• Be responsible for crew safety training.
• Assist with all client and statutory inspections and audits, including ensuring proper closure of all punch-list items within the agreed timeline.
• Ensure all PR requests from vessels are properly vetted and the appropriate codes are allocated.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Maritime Studies or equivalent
• At least 1–2 years of experience in vessel management.
• Preferably have sailing experience with a relevant Certificate of Competency (CoC) Class 3 or below.
• Sailing experience on tankers is preferred.
• Proactive, responsible, reliable, cost-conscious and a good team player.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Conversational Bahasa Indonesia would be a helpful working skill.
