Electrical Project Manager

Job Duties:
Lead and coordinate site teams, including supervisors, technicians, contractors, and vendors, to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Oversee day-to-day site operations and work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor electrical installation works, ensuring compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Manage project schedules, manpower, materials, and resources to support timely project completion and cost-effective execution.
Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work procedures to ensure smooth project implementation.
Coordinate and support Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities for electrical systems, including LV/HV distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, and related equipment.
Ensure all installation, testing, and commissioning activities meet statutory, client, and project requirements.
Promote a strong safety culture by conducting risk assessments, site inspections, and ensuring compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) standards.
Monitor subcontractor performance, work quality, and project progress to ensure successful delivery of project milestones.
Prepare project reports, progress updates, and technical documentation for management and client reporting.
Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to support effective project execution and customer satisfaction.
Mentor and guide team members, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, M&E, construction, industrial facilities, power distribution, or data centre projects. Candidates with strong project coordination experience and leadership potential are encouraged to apply.
Experience managing site activities, contractors, suppliers, and multiple stakeholders in a project environment.
Good technical understanding of LV/HV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, power distribution, and electrical testing & commissioning.
Familiarity with electrical installation, troubleshooting, and project execution processes.
Understanding of local electrical regulations, safety standards, and workplace health & safety requirements.
Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage project schedules and resources effectively.
Experience in quality, safety, cost, and project performance management will be an advantage.
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
