Facility Assistant (Handyman)

Location: Bukit Batok Care Home

Handyman Functions:

• Perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices, clean facilities and managing maintenance repairs

• Perform repair works on appliances except medical equipment under preventive maintenance

• Detect, report and monitor the needs for major maintenance work

• Regularly check Care Home to identify issues with litter, mechanical failure or breakdowns

• Respond to the clinical team request for repair and maintenance in a timely and professional manner

• Repair plumbing, electrical and safety system in alignment to the requirement in consultation with appointed Hard FM vendor

• Maintain the cleanliness of outside, spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks with appointed Soft FM vendor

• Oversee the sprinkler system and trash containers in the company premises in consultation with appointed Hard FM vendor

• Conduct routine performance checks on company assets such as refrigerators, microwaves, oven, wheelchairs, commodes etc.

• Provide support and guidance to the clinical team on maintaining their equipment in consultation with relevant equipment suppliers/ manufacturers

Educational Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar role

• Experience in plumbing and electrical system

• Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment

• Extremely organized with good communication skills

• Self-motivated and committed

• Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem solving

• Good team player
