The Equity Advisory group is fully integrated within JLL’s Asia Pacific Capital Markets platform, delivering seamless, end-to-end solutions in corporate real estate advisory, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and strategic capital placement. Backed by JLL’s deep sector expertise, global network, and local market intelligence, the team advises corporate and institutional clients on complex transactions—including joint ventures, fund structuring, recapitalisations, and primary and secondary equity raises—across diverse real estate asset classes.
In response to growing client demand and an expanding pipeline of mandates, we are seeking an Associate Director, Equity Advisory, based in Singapore. Reporting to the Executive Director, Equity Advisory – Asia Pacific, this role presents a unique opportunity to play a pivotal part in scaling JLL’s corporate finance and capital solutions business across the region.
The successful candidate will assume significant responsibility from day one, supporting high-profile transactions and managing the full lifecycle of day-to-day execution activities. Beyond contributing to deal origination and execution across multiple alternative real estate sectors—including logistics, data centers, multifamily, student housing, and hospitality—the role will focus on driving operational excellence, investor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Core Client Coverage and Relationship Management
Support in developing and implementing strategic plans for each core client, identifying their specific needs and potential opportunities.
Help to establish and maintain a regular schedule for client touchpoints and follow-ups.
Prepare tailored market insights and investment opportunities for each core client in partnership with senior internal stakeholders.
Utilise the CRM system to track client interactions and pending actions.
Transaction Execution
Support the preparation, origination and execution of large-scale sales and recapitalization mandates in the region, with a focus on the logistics sector.
Lead the preparation of valuation models and perform a variety of key analyses including ROIC, accretion and dilution, comparable company and discounted cash flow etc.. In addition, you will play the key analytical role in analysis of impending and ongoing transactions.
Identify and cultivate relationships with potential sellers and buyers in the logistics real estate market.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential deals, ensuring regular communication with key stakeholders.
Establish standardized processes for deal execution to ensure efficiency and consistency.
Build and lead a team with specialized knowledge in logistics real estate.
Capital Markets Strategy
Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the Equity Advisory Capital Markets coverage and mandate execution strategy.
Support the development and implementation of strategies to capitalize on the recovering APAC market, particularly in office and logistics sectors.
Market Analysis and Thought Leadership
Monitor and analyze key indicators of market recovery in the office and logistics sectors.
Conduct and supervise thorough market research on the logistics sector in the Asia-Pacific region.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key players in the office and logistics sectors.
In partnership with research and senior leaders, oversee the preparation of market reports and forecasts to position the firm as a thought leader in the industry.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate finance or investment banking, with at least 4 years focusing on real estate transactions.
Proven track record in supporting origination and execution of large-scale real estate transactions, particularly in the logistics and office sectors.
In-depth knowledge of the Asia-Pacific real estate market, with a particular focus on Singapore and SEA.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-level client relationships.
Experience in implementing and utilizing CRM systems.
