Associate, Markets & Investor Services

Position Overview:

Markets & Investor Services sits at the intersection of our lending business and the institutional investor market. The team works on the structuring and distribution of credit investments, institutional relationships and the ongoing management of infrastructure loan and bond portfolios.

There are three teams within MIS:

Capital Markets – structures and executes capital market transactions, including our Infrastructure Asset-Backed Securities (IABS), and manages relationships with institutional investors.

Institutional Coverage – manages relationships with banks and financial institutions, sources loan assets and supports the syndication of loans originated by Clifford Capital.

Collateral Management – monitors and manages the underlying infrastructure loans and bonds within Clifford Capital’s portfolios and securitisation vehicles.

Position Overview:

The Capital Markets team sits under the Clifford Capital Markets & Investor Services Group and is responsible for (i) the structuring and execution of new structured issuances, (ii) the ongoing monitoring and management of existing issuances and (iii) managing and cultivating relationships with institutional investors.

The primary responsibilities of an Associate within the Capital Markets team are:

I. Support the team in structuring and execution of new public and private Infrastructure Asset Backed Securities (“IABS”) transactions or other structured solutions, including the following scope of work:

a. Financial modelling and cash flow analysis

b. Ratings analysis and modelling

c. Marketing and due diligence materials

d. Investor presentations

e. Investor Q&As

f. Operational setup and other administrative workstreams

g. Legal documentation

II. Ongoing reporting of outstanding IABS transactions
III. Managing communications with institutional investors and addressing their requests
IV. Preparation of presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders
V. Preparation and assistance with new product/business development initiatives
VI. Collaborate with other teams within Clifford Capital to produce deliverables in a timely and accurate manner VII. Coordination and execution of third-party appointments and non-disclosure agreements

VIII. Completion of KYC requests (where required)

Professional Experience /Qualifications and Requirements:

• Good university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Law or related subject. Professional qualifications such as CFA charter holder or chartered accountant will also be considered.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Background in corporate finance and/or capital markets, with high numerical proficiency and financial modelling experience would be considered favourably.
• Understanding / knowledge of securitisation and capital market products would be an advantage.
• Proactive attitude and ‘go-getter’ mindset, with strong drive for self-improvement and to further individual and corporate goals.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and exercise prioritisation of objectives/deliverables.
• Excellent presentation, numerical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to interact confidently with colleagues and peers within the firm.
