The Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) partners with Community Care Organisations (CCOs) across Singapore to connect individuals who are passionate about caring for seniors with meaningful career opportunities in the Community Care sector.

About the Role

Community Care Associates (CCAs) and Senior Community Care Associates (SCCAs) play an important role in providing quality care and support to seniors in nursing homes and senior care centres, in line with the Community Care sector’s commitment to enabling seniors in Singapore to live with dignity.

Working closely with nursing and therapy teams, CCAs and SCCAs will receive training in cross-functional areas, including nursing and therapy, to support seniors’ well-being, independence, and daily living needs through holistic care.

Key Responsibilities

As a CCA or SCCA, you will:

Support Seniors in Daily Living

• Assist seniors with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, feeding, mobility, and transfers.
• Provide care and support in a safe, respectful, and person-centred manner.

Promote Psychosocial Well-being

• Plan and facilitate recreational and engagement activities for seniors.
• Supervise and engage seniors in meaningful activities that support their emotional and social well-being.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with seniors and their family members.

Support Physical and Clinical Well-being

• Assist with mobility training and incorporate maintenance rehabilitation activities into seniors’ daily routines.
• Support medication administration by serving pre-packed medication and applying prescribed topical medication.
• Perform basic wound care independently.
• For SCCA roles only: administer subcutaneous insulin injections in accordance with established protocols and training.

Requirements

• Passionate about caring for seniors and supporting their well-being.
• Prior healthcare or community care experience is an advantage.
• Candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply, as training will be provided.
• Candidates with more than 2 years of relevant local healthcare or community care experience may be considered for the SCCA position.

• The Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) will refer your application to Community Care Organisations (CCOs) for potential job opportunities. If shortlisted, the hiring CCO will contact you directly to discuss the opportunity. While AIC facilitates the referral process, all recruitment and hiring decisions are made by the respective CCOs.
• Salary offered by the hiring CCO will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
