About this job
Job Summary
Manage comprehensive accounting functions including full sets of accounts, financial reporting, billing, and audit support to ensure accurate and timely financial operations aligned with Taiwan HQ requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain full sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial and management reports for Taiwan HQ within stipulated deadlines
- Generate monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules to support financial analysis
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, payments, petty cash, and financial reporting to maintain smooth financial processes
- Prepare quarterly GST submissions in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Perform bank and accounts reconciliations to verify accuracy of financial data
- Process customer billing accurately and ensure timely receipt of payments to maintain cash flow
- Prepare monthly audit schedules ensuring accurate recording of revenue, expenses, accruals, prepayments, and provisions for audit readiness
- Liaise with external parties such as banks, auditors, customers, suppliers, and statutory bodies to resolve financial issues promptly
- Ensure timely payments with proper approvals and supporting documentation to maintain compliance
- Maintain and update accounting records to reflect current financial status
- Assist in year-end closing and financial reporting to support annual audit and compliance requirements
- Support external auditors during year-end audits by preparing audit schedules and providing necessary documentation
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience handling full set accounts to manage comprehensive financial records
- Familiarity with SQL Account software to support accounting operations
- Experience in the Construction or Manufacturing industry to understand sector-specific accounting practices
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, GST regulations, and financial reporting requirements to ensure compliance
- Experience with audits, financial reporting, and statutory compliance to support regulatory adherence
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to address financial challenges effectively
- Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines to ensure timely financial deliverables
- Proactive, hardworking, organized, self-disciplined, and meticulous work approach to maintain accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to handle stress, tight deadlines, and multitasking to manage workload effectively
- Willingness to learn and work overtime as required to meet business needs
