About this job
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Welcome guests warmly, engage in friendly conversation, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on cocktails, wines, spirits, beers, and other beverages.
- Ensure every guest receives prompt, professional, and personalised service to enhance their overall experience.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and sanitation of the bar, equipment, glassware, and workstations throughout each shift.
- Set up and replenish bar supplies, garnishes, mixers, ice, and other operating items before, during, and after service.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, breakages, or discrepancies to the Bar Supervisor or Manager.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and proper storage of beverages and bar supplies.
- Accurately process guest orders and payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Support floor service by delivering drinks, taking beverage orders, and assisting the service team during peak periods.
- Ensure responsible service of alcohol by verifying guest age where required and refusing service in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
- Handle guest enquiries, feedback, and minor complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including bar preparation, cash reconciliation (where applicable), cleaning, and securing the outlet.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, occupational health and safety, and company operating procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain efficient operations and deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Participate in training sessions and continuously develop product knowledge, mixology techniques, and service skills.
