Service Crew (Part-Time) — Covai Sri Kongunaad

Covai Sri Kongunaad is a Tamil-Kongunadu regional cuisine restaurant on Race Course Road. We are looking for part-time service crew to join our floor team.

Pay: $12.50 per hour, depending on experience and shift. Meals provided on shift.

Shifts available:

• Lunch: 11.00am – 3.00pm
• Dinner: 5.30pm – 10.30pm
• Weekend and public holiday shifts available at the higher end of the range

We can work around your schedule. Minimum 3 shifts a week, up to 30 hours a week.

What you'll do:

• Greet and seat guests, take orders, serve food and beverages
• Explain our menu and regional dishes to guests
• Keep the dining area clean and set up between services
• Support the team during busy periods

Students are very welcome. If you are studying hospitality, culinary arts or food science — or simply passionate about South Indian cooking and hospitality — this is a good place to learn. Our floor crew work closely with the kitchen team, and we're happy to give interested crew exposure to prep and plating alongside their service duties.

Requirements

• No prior experience needed — full training provided
• Able to communicate comfortably with guests
• Conversational Tamil is an advantage, as many of our guests order in Tamil
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays
• Reliable and punctual
