Job Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Overall Operations Management
  2. Plan, manage and oversee the company’s day-to-day construction operations.
  3. Ensure all projects are executed efficiently, safely, within approved budgets and according to agreed timelines.
  4. Coordinate resources, manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors across multiple projects.
  5. Project Planning & Coordination
  6. Develop project schedules, work programmes and operational plans.
  7. Monitor project progress and coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers.
  8. Identify operational issues and implement timely solutions to minimise delays and cost overruns.
  9. Manpower Management
  10. Plan manpower requirements according to project needs.
  11. Supervise and coordinate local and foreign workers, site supervisors and technical personnel.
  12. Ensure workers are properly deployed, trained and productive.
  13. Monitor attendance, productivity and workforce performance.
  14. Construction Site Management
  15. Oversee construction activities at various project sites.
  16. Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
  17. Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on outstanding works and defects.
  18. Health, Safety & Regulatory Compliance
  19. Ensure compliance with Singapore workplace safety and health requirements.
  20. Implement company safety policies and procedures at construction sites.
  21. Coordinate with safety personnel to identify workplace hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
  22. Ensure workers comply with site safety requirements and relevant regulations.
  23. Quality Control
  24. Monitor construction quality and ensure works meet contractual and industry standards.
  25. Coordinate inspections, testing, rectification and handover activities.
  26. Work with engineers, consultants and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
  27. Procurement & Materials Management
  28. Coordinate procurement of construction materials, tools, machinery and equipment.
  29. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  30. Monitor material usage, inventory and wastage to control operational costs.
  31. Subcontractor & Supplier Management
  32. Select, coordinate and monitor subcontractors and suppliers.
  33. Evaluate their performance, workmanship, reliability and adherence to project schedules.
  34. Resolve operational and contractual issues where required.
  35. Cost & Budget Control
  36. Assist management in preparing project budgets and operational cost estimates.
  37. Monitor project expenditure and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary costs.
  38. Ensure resources are utilised efficiently without compromising safety or quality.
  39. Client & Stakeholder Coordination
  40. Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, government authorities and other project stakeholders.
  41. Attend project meetings and provide operational updates.
  42. Maintain professional relationships with clients and business partners.
  43. Business & Operational Development
  44. Support the company’s management in developing new construction projects and business opportunities.
  45. Assess operational requirements for upcoming projects.
  46. Develop strategies to improve productivity, profitability and operational efficiency.
  47. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
  48. Prepare regular operational and project progress reports for senior management.
  49. Monitor key performance indicators relating to productivity, manpower, costs, quality and project schedules.
  50. Recommend corrective actions and improvements where necessary.
  51. Compliance with Singapore Requirements
  52. Ensure company operations comply with applicable Singapore construction, employment, workplace safety and regulatory requirements.
  53. Coordinate relevant licensing, registration, training and certification requirements where applicable, including requirements associated with construction operations.

KeyPurpose of the Position

The Operations Manager will beresponsible for overseeing and coordinating the company’s constructionoperations, manpower, project execution, subcontractors, procurement, safety,quality and cost control. The position will play a key role in ensuringprojects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget, whilesupporting the company’s growth and operational development in Singapore.
