Finance Assistant
The Singapore Cricket Association (SCA) is looking for a motivated and detail oriented Finance Assistant to support the Finance Department in the day to day financial and administrative operations of the Association.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with annual budgeting, budget monitoring and financial reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, collections and payment follow ups.
- Maintain the General Ledger and assist with preparation of monthly financial and management reports.
- Assist with bank reconciliations, Balance Sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasts and petty cash management.
- Support the preparation and management of grants and funding received from Sport Singapore, ICC and ACC, ensuring expenditure is recorded under the appropriate funding categories.
- Prepare quarterly Statements of Accounts, expense reports, variance analysis and other financial reports required by Sport Singapore, ICC and ACC.
- Support annual and compliance audits, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documents and responses to auditor queries.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure payments, refunds and invoices are processed accurately and on a timely basis.
- Maintain accurate records of payments to contractors and vendors and support reimbursement tracking.
- Assist with the review and implementation of financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Support statutory and regulatory filings, including ROS and IPC filings.
- Assist the Treasurer, CEO and Finance Manager with financial reports and other finance related matters as required.
- Ensure compliance with SCA, Sport Singapore, ICC and ACC financial requirements and procedures.
- Perform other finance and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MYOB accounting software is preferred.
- Experience working with a charity, National Sports Association or sports organisation would be an advantage.
- Good understanding of financial controls, accounting procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented, responsible and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
