As a Programme Associate, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Carry out meaningful activity engagement prescribed by registered therapists to support residents’ physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being.
  • Plan and conduct activities for residents, including community outings, art and music programmes, facility-based activities, gazetted events, and special events.
  • Set up and prepare activity rooms and designated areas before activities and events.
  • Prepare, organise, and ensure the availability of relevant equipment and materials required for activities.
  • Escort and transport scheduled residents to the gym and activity areas for programmes such as cooking sessions, arts and crafts, combined mahjong, and other therapeutic activities.
  • Conduct general body-conditioning exercises for residents in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Record residents’ attendance and participation in the UMC Rehabilitation Attendance system.
  • Maintain proper inventory and ensure activity equipment is clean, functional, and adequately stocked.
  • Assist the nursing team in maintaining and tidying communal areas when required.
  • Assist residents with their nutritional needs and provide appropriate support during afternoon tea breaks.
  • Disinfect activity equipment and maintain cleanliness of mops by ensuring they are properly cleaned and dried.
  • Ensure hand soap bottles are adequately filled and readily available.
  • Strictly adhere to infection control guidelines, procedures, and protocols at all times.
  • Participate in and support company events and departmental activities as required.
  • Perform administrative duties related to departmental operations and undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Allied Health Manager.

Requirements

  • Possess NITEC in Community Care & Social Services or other related fields.
