Product Testing Director

ROLE:

The Product Testing Director is responsible for establishing, evolving, and leading organization's global testing capabilities to ensure robust and successful project delivery across all products. This role is both strategic and operational—tasked with introducing advanced test methodologies, such as AI-driven testing, and leveraging test data to predict issues, drive continuous product improvement, and accelerate innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Test Capability Development

• Set the strategic direction and vision for end-to-end testing of products across multiple sites and across multiple RDD functions including Build & Test, Hardware and Software testing, enabling support for current and next-generation products.
• Build a strong test capability and transform ways of working across all functions within RDD to attain the highest product verification standards and highest product performance.
• Leading the test organisation performing tests mimicking real-world Consumer first perspective through functional lenses and deliver a highly satisfying end-user experience.
• Introduce and scale innovative approaches such as AI-enabled testing to improve efficiency, enhance coverage, and predict in-field product issues.
• Continuously assess and integrate new testing technologies, tools, and methodologies to advance technical expertise and testing effectiveness.

Data-Driven Testing & Continuous Improvement

• Establish processes and platforms to collect, analyse, and interpret test data, transforming insights into actionable improvements across the entire product lifecycle.
• Partner with product development, engineering, and quality functions to ensure test outcomes inform design iteration, root cause analysis, and field quality improvements.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement using data to anticipate issues, shorten development cycles, and raise quality standards.

Resource Management & Collaboration

• Develop a world-class, flexible testing organisation, balancing resource placement across global sites for maximum efficiency and technical development.
• Strategically allocate testing resources to meet project priorities while building depth and expertise at preferred locations.
• Foster partnership, knowledge sharing, and collaboration between testing teams and other global functions to ensure optimal delivery and innovation.

Leadership & Organisational Development

• Build a strong test leadership bench.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing, diverse global testing team.
• Leadership style of operating with urgency, transparency, and the flexibility to pivot when project timelines or designs shift is a must.
• Embed a culture of accountability, innovation, and technical excellence. Set clear expectations, recognise outstanding contributions, and support employee growth and upskilling, particularly in emerging testing technologies.
