Senior Engineer

Purpose of the position

The purpose of this position is to plan, manage and conduct engineering projects of a complex nature to meet client requirements.

Accountabilities

· Applies a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical, economical and innovative solutions to problems

· Produces designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity

· Prepares client reports, presentations and updates

· Contributes to the overall management and profitability of projects

· Manages compliance to scope and identifies fee variations

· Manages engineers and drafters to enable preparation of documentation including allocation of resources and checking o fwork

· Develops and maintain relationships with clients and identifies opportunities for new or additional work

· Confidently interprets and communicates information of a more complex nature to different stakeholders

· Assumes responsibility for the management of small, medium and some large-scale projects including duties such as pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets

· Ensures compliance with applicable Codes, local authorities requirements and policies including WHS practices and Quality Assurance

· Coordinates with clients and other consultants on design, construction, and submission aspects of projects

· Attends technical / site meetings to resolve design issues and constructability problems
