We are seeking a proactive and skilled Production Assistant/ Production lead to support the planning, coordination, and supervision of production activities. The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on management, and the ability to ensure production efficiency, quality, and adherence to project timelines for our repair vessels, conversion vessels and new building projects/modules for piping, inuslation and other mechanical jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly production schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Monitor production progress against plan, ensuring timely completion of jobs.
  • Allocate manpower including supervisors, technicians, welders, and other semi skill workforce as per project needs.
  • Ensure all works meet Marine quality standards and follow approved SOPs and drawings.
  • Conduct quality checks at critical stages of construction and minimize rework by addressing root causes.
  • Coordinate with the Design & Engineering team to implement design modifications during production.
  • Review technical drawings and provide feedback for manufacturability and efficiency.
  • Support prototype development and ensure smooth integration of design changes into production.
  • Handle 3D modeling and CAD/CAM design/modifications.
  • Supervise and oversee supervisors and production teams to achieve targets.
  • Carry out line walk to ensure/compare the drawings against the work location prior to fabrication.
  • Mannualy preparing site run onboard for suggestion on routing/re-routing.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Marine, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in shipbuilding, or industrial production management.
  • Strong knowledge of fiberglass (FRP) boatbuilding processes and marine systems.
  • Experience with production scheduling, manpower allocation, and workflow optimization.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and maintain high-quality output under deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
