Job Summary

The Sales Supervisor – Onsite Scaffolding Works is responsible for securing and managing scaffolding service contracts while overseeing the progress of onsite scaffolding works in the marine sector, including oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, chemical, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing plants. The role acts as the primary liaison between clients and site operations, ensuring that scaffolding activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

Develop new business opportunities and maintain long-term relationships with industrial clients.

Identify opportunities for shutdowns, turnarounds, maintenance, and capital projects.

Prepare quotations, tenders, commercial proposals, and service agreements.

Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and project scope with clients.

Follow up on tenders and quotations to secure project awards.

Achieve monthly and annual sales and profitability targets.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor scaffolding work progress.

Coordinate with Site Supervisors, Scaffold Foremen, and client representatives to ensure work is progressing according to schedule.

Monitor daily manpower deployment and scaffold work productivity.

Ensure timely mobilization of scaffold materials, equipment, and manpower.

Resolve operational issues that may affect project progress or customer satisfaction.

Attend daily coordination meetings, toolbox meetings, and progress review meetings with clients.

Scaffold Work Progress Monitoring

Monitor scaffold erection, modification, inspection, maintenance, and dismantling activities.

Track daily work progress against project schedules and client priorities.

Verify that scaffold workers are assigned efficiently to maximize productivity.

Coordinate additional manpower or resources during plant shutdowns and turnaround projects.

Review daily progress reports submitted by site supervisors and foremen.

Monitor work completion percentages and report project status to management and clients.

Escalate delays, resource shortages, or technical issues to the Operations Manager.

Support the implementation of productivity improvement initiatives.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

Ensure all scaffolding works comply with client specifications, approved scaffold designs, and relevant safety regulations.

Promote compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, and site safety requirements.

Coordinate with HSE and QA/QC teams to address safety observations and quality concerns.

Participate in safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations where required.

Client Relationship Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding project progress and commercial matters.

Provide regular updates on work status, resource availability, and project milestones.

Resolve customer concerns promptly to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.

Identify opportunities for additional services and contract expansion.

Requirements

Minimum

10 years of experience in industrial scaffolding services.

Minimum 8 years of supervisory experience in scaffolding operations.

Strong understanding of industrial scaffolding systems, shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance projects.

Knowledge of scaffold inspection requirements, temporary access solutions, and industrial safety standards.

Ability to read project schedules, drawings, work scopes, and technical specifications.

Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Willing to work long hours on weekdays, weekends and public holidays
