About this job

We are looking for a passionate, creative, and energetic Art & Music Teacher to inspire young learners through engaging visual arts, music, movement, and creative expression. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct engaging Art and Music lessons for children aged 18 months to 6 years.
  • Foster children's creativity, imagination, self-expression, and appreciation of the arts through hands-on experiences.
  • Introduce children to a variety of art techniques, materials, musical concepts, songs, instruments, rhythm, movement, and performance.
  • Prepare lesson plans and learning materials aligned with the school's curriculum and developmental goals.
  • Organise and support school events, performances, concerts, exhibitions, and celebrations.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and child-friendly learning environment.
  • Observe and document children's progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate.
  • Maintain and organise art and music resources, equipment, and learning spaces.
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to integrate art and music into classroom learning.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children during lessons.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Fine Arts, Music, Music Education, Performing Arts, or a related discipline.
  • Experience teaching art and/or music to preschool-aged children is preferred.
  • Passionate about working with young children.
  • Creative, enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Able to sing confidently and lead music and movement activities.
  • Proficient in using a variety of art media and teaching techniques.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience playing a musical instrument (e.g. piano, guitar, ukulele).
  • Experience preparing children for performances, concerts, or showcases.
  • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Ability to integrate music, movement, storytelling, and visual arts into holistic learning experiences.
