Role Purpose
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Specialist to architect, deploy, and maintain our enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure and modern data platforms. This role will drive the migration of mission-critical systems to fully managed cloud environments, focusing heavily on automation, system resilience, infrastructure hardening, and high availability
1. Cloud Deployment, Configuration & Migration
- Deploy and configure solutions in the cloud ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration between Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) models.
- Lead the end-to-end technical strategy and execution for migrating legacy on-premises systems to cloud-native platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Architect and implement multi-region, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR) frameworks, utilizing features like Always-On clustering and Multi-AZ infrastructure.
2. Operations, Automation & Scripting
- Automate cloud operations and proactively develop infrastructure automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to minimize manual workflows, optimize system monitoring, and reduce overhead.
- Build out and maintain telemetry, alerting, and logging capabilities across cloud-hosted virtual networks and server clusters.
- Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) on production infrastructure issues, connection drops, and service failures, driving issues through to immediate resolution.
3. Proof of Concepts & Systems Management
- Participate in the specification, setup, and running of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and demonstrations of advanced cloud solutions to validate scalability and cost-efficiency.
- Administer and maintain servers across virtual and cloud platforms, performing routine operating system modernization, inventory tracking, and software license audits.
- Oversee system lifecycle hygiene, including performance tuning, rebuilding index structures, and defragmentation across distributed networks.
4. Cloud Hardening & Compliance
- Execute server infrastructure hardening and apply automated security patches based on vulnerability scan reports (e.g., Qualys, Tenable).
- Ensure all cloud deployments comply with corporate data governance, encryption standards (at rest and in transit), and strict enterprise privacy regulations.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant faculty, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
Technical Proficiencies
- Cloud Platform Mastery: Deep, demonstrable hands-on experience in public cloud architecture (AWS and Azure ecosystems).
- Scripting & Automation: Highly proficient in writing advanced validation scripts using PowerShell or cloud CLI environments.
- Systems & Data Tiering: Heavy expertise managing massive scale data tiers, windows clustering, and distributed enterprise database platforms.
